Uniform Policy

Phillis Wheatley Elementary is a mandatory uniform school. We encourage all students to take part in our mandatory school uniform policy.  Students will be asked to call home if they are not in uniform to have their parents bring them proper school attire.  Uniforms can be purchased from any store.  The uniform colors are: shirts–hunter green, white or yellow; and skirts/pants–hunter green or khaki.

It is important for students to be aware of the importance of good personal appearance.  School clothing should not interfere with the regular learning environment.  Clothing should be clean and neat.  Spaghetti straps, tank tops, bare midriff, short shorts, and baggy pants are not allowed at any time.

For your child’s safety, NO metal cleats, thongs, clogs, sandals, open-toe shoes, or clothing without back-straps should be worn to school.
